HOW TO SEND YOUR COMICS TO US FOR "ERO-MANIA"

We will always welcome new talents here at Wildside Comix. If you wish to send your comics to us, please read this page first. It contains requirements and hints, and if you know these beforehand we won't have to use our time on telling it to you. We're happy if we can avoid that kind of extra time and work ;)

1.) Wildside Comix accepts most kinds of comics as long as we consider them saleable and interesting for our readers. We don't accept comics that is a violation of other's copyrights, comics that contains pedophilia, bestiality, rape/violence and the alike (for a better description of what's not allowed in erotic comics click here), comics that contains prejudices and hate against race or gender etc. and other things that is more or less obvious we don't want. We are interested in most comics, but if we consider the comic as totally improper and that it can possibly get us into problems or give us a bad reputation, we simply won't print it. We reserve the right to say no to comics we think are unsuitable or comics that is not considered as being sincere enough.

2.) We only accept finished works. We don't give scripts to artists or vice versa. If you've got an idea for a comic but need an artists or a scriptwriter, you need to find this on your own. You can for example ask in our Forum if someone is interested. But anyway: we only accept finished comics.

3.) We do not take originals. If you need to send us your comics by snailmail, contact us first and only send copies. We don't want to have the responsibility for lost originals. No submissions will be returned.

4.) For all technical requirements and such, please read carefully through the following pages:

1. DPI (resolution on the pages - very important!)

2. Size on the pages and "bleeds" (important to avoid elements being cut off!)

5.) The comics you send should be max. 16 pages. We do take larger submissions and/or continuation comics too, but rarely. But we make exceptions for comics that we consider very high quality.

6.) The comics you send us has to be complete - we cannot accept half-finished or "to be continued" comics. We also need you to send the comics with separate text layers since the comics are printed in norwegian, and we have to be able to properly translate the pages without editing any graphics.

7.) We do generally not print webcomics. Since we want to avoid anything that might decrease the sales of a comic, we deem a comic that can be freely read on a website as more or less useless since a lot of people have already read it, and more will. It is a little difficult to make people buy a comic they can read for free on the net. So in short: we do not accept webcomics/comics that are displayed on websites. If you only show a few pages as some kind of "preview" though, or the comic is displayed on member areas only etc, it's ok.

8.) We are mostly interested in comics that haven't been printed and published, but we won't automatically say no to previously published comics. But that presuppose that your other publisher haven't claimed any rights to your comic or parts of it.

9.) Regarding payment, 30% of any eventual profits from that comicmagazine will go to the artists that's submitted their comics. All artists that has submitted comics to us, will get copies of the comicbook for free, of course.

10.) If your comic has been accepted by us, please be aware of that it might take some time before it gets printed and put up for sale. Be patient :)

Please do not send large files by email! If your comic is large, we can receive it by FTP (contact us for information). You could also send us your files using http://www.sendspace.com. Just send us the download link afterwards. (IMPORTANT: please contact us before you upload files and send them to us.)
